Thinking the thoughts

Hi all. We’ve been contemplating how we use social media to interact with everyone, and we think we are going to make some changes to how the website, and this platform is used. We are thinking we are going to be making this a lot more blog based and so will be aiming to post more regularly on here. We’ll be doing write ups of events and presentations we attend, letting you know of more events upcoming and keeping you updated on all things crimeScene related.

Let us know your thoughts and if there is anything in particular you would like to see, either on here or actually at crimeScene itself. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

Adrian Bedford withdrawal

It is with great regret that we advise that Adrian Bedford, our local guest of honour, has had to withdraw his attendance from crimeScene due to unforeseen circumstances. We send Adrian our best wishes and hope we will be able to host him at another time as a guest of crimeScene.

Update

Hi all,

Apologies that we have been so remiss in updating the website, we’re working on fixing that! We promise there will be much more information to come now that we are so close to this year’s event! CrimeScene will take place on the 1st and 2nd of October.

We  have been lucky enough this year to be able to secure Candice Fox and Emma Viskic as our guests. Following on from the success of her three novels, Candice has recently had an opportunity to be able to co-author with renowned James Patterson. Emma’s debut novel Resurrection Bay has been creating a huge splash everywhere. Come along and meet our fantastic authors!

As usual, we are looking at putting together a strong scientific stream. Professor Simon Lewis an Hadyn Green will both be presenting case studies and various other speakers have been lined up wiht a range of fascinating topics.

We’ll have ticket sales information up shortly so that you’ll be able to purchase your tickets before the event. Jay is currently going through and working all these details out.

Let us know if there are particular topics you want us to cover and we;ll see what we can do. We hope to see you at crimeScene!

crimeScene is this weekend!

Online sales for crimeScene will close Friday 6pm. Tickets will still be available to purchase on Saturday morning from the venue, however there may be a bit of a delay in getting your badge printed if you buy at the door. If you are planning on coming, please assist us by prepurchasing your membership to prevent the bottleneck at the registration desk.

Can’t wait to see you all for this year’s event!!!

Membership purchases

Memberships can now be purchased from our ticketing site: http://www.trybooking.com/158563

Hope to see you there!

Break in the silence

Sorry for the long silence everyone! We’ve been working hard to put together this year’s programme. A rough draft is now available under the programme tab, however, we are expecting a couple of changes to still be made to the program. Descriptions of the program items should go up within the next day or two as well so you have an idea of the items you will want to be attending.

We’ve also updated the venue page and put some details up regarding membership prices. I am hoping our ticketing site will be up and running within the next few days so that people can pre-purchase their tickets. Payment on the day will need to be via cash or card facilities.

It’s getting close now! We hope we will see you there this year!

Update #5

Update #5 was posted to the Pozible campaign a couple of days ago, in which we list all of our currently engaged speakers.

We have got such a huge program lined up. Please make sure you share and support before the campaign ends so that we have the best chance to reach our funding target as possible!
